The Houston trial lawyers at Fitts Zehl, LLP represent plaintiffs in personal injury, business, and employment cases in federal and state courts in Texas and across the United States.
Ryan Zehl and Bryant Fitts, the firm's partners, are trial lawyers who grew up in Houston prior to attending the University of Texas in Austin. After spending years at large law firms defending some of the biggest corporations in the country, they reunited to form Fitts Zehl, a firm dedicated to using efficient and effective legal strategies to provide their clients with the maximum compensation possible.
Although most of our cases settle before trial, what distinguishes our personal injury law firm from many others is that we actually take cases to trial when defendants and their insurance companies refuse to settle cases for what we believe our clients should recover. In the past 18 months alone, for example, the lawyers at Fitts Zehl have tried---and won----9 jury trials, making them undefeated in the courtroom. The most recent was in December 2011 against Greyhound Bus Company. After a 3 week trial, the jury awarded our clients over $18 Million in damages, making our verdict the largest ever awarded against Greyhound.
As a result of our courtroom success, Ryan Zehl was selected for membership in the "Multi-Million Dollar Advocates Forum," an organization limited to trial lawyers who have recovered millions in verdicts.
Our experience in the courtroom, combined with our resources, aggressiveness, and willingness and ability to take cases to trial---and win---has enabled our firm to achieve unparalled results for our clients.
The following is a list of just some of our most recent accomplishments:
- Recovered over $150 million in settlements and verdicts on behalf of clients who were injured offshore, in serious car, truck and bus accidents, by dangerous prescription drugs, or who were involved in complicated insurance, employment (sexual harassment and wrongful termination) or business disputes
