Fitts Zehl is set to try 5 Paxil birth defect cases against GlaxoSmithKline (GSK), the second largest drug manufacturer in the world, in Philadelphia in May 2011.  We have ensured that no other Paxil trials will take place before our May trial, which will make this the third time that GSK has gone to trial over Paxil since the FDA required GSK to disclose the connection between Paxil use during pregnancy and congenital heart defects in December 2005.

The first trial, Kilker v. GSK, resulted in a $2 million dollar verdict for the plaintiffs.  The second trial, Blyth v. GSK, was cut short when GSK filed a motion for summary judgment half way through the trial.

Fitts Zehl is currently representing clients across the Country who took Paxil while pregnant and had a baby with a serious heart defect.

The Houston personal injury lawyers at Fitts Zehl recovered a jury verdict on behalf of a client who was injured in a car accident after he waited over 3 years to have a surgery that was required because of the accident. The defendant argued that the plaintiff was not injured in the accident, was at fault for driving straight in a center turn lane, and that the plaintiff had another accident that required a neck and back surgery after the car accident and before trial.

The defendant did not offer any money to the plaintiff before trial. Ryan Zehl took the case to trial on January 4, 2009, where he recovered over $60,000 for his client.
